The Race Unity Speech Awards, which started in 2001, had grown in scope and reach. It was time to create new brand identity to express its overall kaupapa and values, to represent the speech awards, annual conference and future social action as a coherent whole and to express a strongly contemporary positioning that would appeal to youth, young professionals and people of influence.
The new brand expresses ‘a place to speak, listen, be heard, stand, come together and act’. It is bold, confident, clever and makes a big statement to its constituency.
